Inspiration
Created in 2016, DAFNIS works to
share emotions and culture through a music of pop rock influences.
Their compositions are based on a material both specific to Bordeaux city spirit and common to cultures of the
world.
With their classical (Associated Board of the Royal School of Music) and traditional (Occitan) music formation, Eli (vocals, piano) and Anne (guitar) are inspired by their identity to deliver, through their compositions, a message of universality.

The name of the band DAFNIS refers to the only opera wrote in occitan Dafnís e Alcimadura in 1754 by Mondonville, a Bordeaux composer.
This love story is close to Bastien et Bastienne of Mozart and inspired the lyrics and the title of the first EP of the band : To Alcimadura.
